For many men, coming out means breaking past self-imposed limits to live as our true self. In this spirit Wildwood is offering recently installed ropes course as an optional activity. A ropes course is simply a collection of activities, called elements and initiatives that are designed to engage participants on physical, emotional and mental levels. It is moderately physical in nature and will involve both low and high activities. The low activities which can include games are done on the ground and up to 4 feet off the ground. The low elements can provide insight by helping us see the assumptions we make when we interact with groups. The high elements take place approximately 25 - 30 feet in the air and use an extensive configuration of safety systems and well trained personnel. The high elements offer opportunities to break through our self-perceived limits – both as an individual and how we relate to others. Wildwood is offering the ropes course on Saturday as a full day program. This is a sacred weekend giving you and other gay men an opportunity to create new friendships, reunite old friendships and strengthen community. Think Green! Need a ride? Have a ride to share?
