Wildwood's mission could not be achieved were it not for the team of dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy towards maintaining Wildwood's buildings and grounds or towards particular programs and functions.
Resident Volunteers: One significant way to join the community at Wildwood is to apply for a resident volunteer position. There is an eight week minimum commitment with most volunteers typically staying for three to nine months, although longer stays are available. Volunteer opportunities are available year around.
Most volunteers at Wildwood perform a variety of tasks such as preparation of meals, guest room upkeep, gift shop sales merchandising, carpentry and handyman tasks, and grounds beautification through landscaping and forestry management. Those who have a background in specific trade could be assigned a position pertaining to their specialty.
A commitment of 25 hours per week entitles volunteers to room and board. Upon availability, volunteers in good standing, and who have completed three months of service, may participate in workshops to develop a personal goal using all that Wildwood has to offer.
